Subaru offers more than just the Outback and other SUVs. The Subaru Legacy is one of the brand's top sedans in its lineup. The 2.5L BOXER engine inside produces more horsepower than some expect from a sedan and averages 27 to 35 mpg. While this engine comes standard in most cars, a 2.4L turbocharged engine is also available. One of the hardest parts of buying a new 2024 Legacy is picking your trim level. Troncalli Subaru makes your decision a little easier as we'll go over some of our favorite features that make each Legacy better than the last.

Base

We wanted to start with the Legacy Base because it has a low and affordable price tag. The 2.5L engine boasts 182 horsepower and 176 pounds of torque—perfect for your commute from Cumming to Atlanta. Though the body of each Legacy looks similar, the Base includes 17-inch wheels with a black machined finish and LED headlights to match the daytime running lights. Inside are manual seats in the front, with 60/40 split folding seats in the back. We like the seven-inch touchscreen with Subaru STARLINK Multimedia installed and the HD radio. Pre-collision braking and automatic emergency steering are among its top safety features.

Premium

Upgrade to the Legacy Premium to get everything the Base includes with much more. Subaru added a deicer to the wipers and heated seats for cold days. You'll love the 10-way power driver's seat and heated front seats. Finding the USB port to charge your phone is easy because the Premium has illuminated ports. Instead of the ordinary STARLINK system, the Premium has STARLINK Plus and a larger 11.6-inch touchscreen. You might also like the sedan's 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, six speakers, and leather accents on the gear shifter and steering wheel.

Limited

The last Legacy trim with the base engine is the Limited. LED fog lights and 18-inch aluminum wheels give the Limited a slightly different look from the other trims. While both seats in the front are power-adjustable, the driver's seat works in 12 positions compared to the eight positions of the passenger's seat. Enjoy the comfort of the heated leather seats and the convenience of the push-button start. An auto-dimming mirror, 12-speaker stereo system, and keyless entry make it even easier to love the Legacy Limited.

Sport

Subaru replaced the engine in the Legacy Sport with a 2.4L BOXER engine, giving you 260 horsepower and 277 pounds of torque. Adding to the sporty look and feel is a sport-tuned suspension system to help you navigate over any terrain without bracing for impact inside. This edition includes dual exhaust ports, stylish stainless steel tips, and a new DriverFocus system. Subaru designed this feature to help you avoid distractions on any road. We also like the sport cloth upholstery inside and the addition of bright red stitching.

Touring XT

The 2024 Legacy Touring XT has the same engine as the Sport. While the machine finish on the 18-inch wheels adds a fun touch, the 180-degree monitor helps you keep track of your surroundings. This monitor is easy to view from the front seat. Getting comfortable is easy because the Touring XT includes Nappa leather upholstery and heated seats in the front and back with ventilated seats in the front. Other additions include built-in navigation, a power driver's seat, and a premium audio system with a CD player.
